Shanghai Tutor's Network

Shanghai Tutor has built a network of exceptional English language tutors. All tutors have been selected especially by Shanghai Tutor because they meet our high standards. Shanghai Tutor does not accept just any tutor who wishes to join the network. All tutors must meet our criteria:

  1. Native speakers of English. All of our tutors come from the English-speaking nations of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, or Australia. Americans are the majority.
  2. Qualified to teach English. Professional teaching involves knowledge of theory as well as inherent ability.
  3. English teaching experience. All of our tutors have the benefit of years of experience to guide their methodology. Much of this experience has been gained at Chinese universities. You will not find wide-eyed kids or backpackers in our network.
  4. Have lived in China. None of our tutors are new to China. They have years of firsthand understanding of China and the particular needs of Chinese students. Some of our tutors are also fluent in Chinese.
  5. Enjoy teaching English. All of our tutors have made the choice to teach out of a love for the profession. They derive great satisfaction from the progress of their students.
